Officials urge caution in Black Hills National Forest after rains

The U.S. Forest Service is urging caution in the Black Hills National Forest after recent saturating rains. The agency says the wet weather has resulted in high water levels and swift currents in lakes and creeks, and many trails and roads are in poor condition. Officials say the conditions can create potential hazards for drivers, hikers, bikers and horseback riders. People who use muddy trails also can increase erosion. People are asked to use trails responsibly.
