A Spearfish man accused of embezzling money from a youth sports program has pleaded guilty to one of the charges. 43 year old Nicholas Hoffman pleaded guilty to 1 count of grand theft by embezzlement Friday in 4th circuit court. Hoffman admitted to taken money for personal expenses from the Spearfish Youth Wrestling Club between 2015-2018. In return for the the guilty plea and over 14,000 in restitution, 2 other charges were dismissed. Hoffman faces up to 10 years in the state penitentiary.
