South Dakota’s congressional delegation is urging President Trump to make agriculture a priority as he continues trade negotiations. Senators John Thune and Mike Rounds along with Representative Kristi Noem wrote a letter to the President informing him that market uncertainty has already cost local ag producers hundreds of millions of dollars and can no longer afford to just wait and see where the negotiations go. Meanwhile in Washington, Senators approved a resolution that would require the President to seek congressional approval on any tariffs imposed for reasons of National security.
